It's time to slow down, relax, and enjoy my family….

As most of you already know I am a mom of three awesome kids, Jakayla (9), Jordyn (3), and Jalyssa (2) with a full time career and a photography business.  I often see other moms at events and parties and get asked "you are so busy. How do you do it all?"  I would kindly smile and say "I don't know, I just do"…because I knew I didn't do it all.
I worked hard at my career, I worked hard at photography, but I was half a mom to my 3 children.  Gone during the day at my full time job, gone on the weekends to photograph all my amazing clients and their families, and in my zone at night editing away (because that was the only "free" time I had to get the editing done).

I love photography, I love my career, but most importantly I LOVE my family…but…my family was the most important thing in my life yet they were not getting the time they deserved.

So I took a few months off from photography (not completely, but only a session here and there). Over that time I learned a lot about myself & my children … I learned my children missed their mommy & and I finally realized how I want to move forward with my photography business!
I want to LOVE every session I do.  At one point in my life I thought I wanted photography to be my full-time job, but over this time I realized that's not what I want at all.  I have an amazing career that I have spent years to build and the minute I started overworking myself with photography it became clear to me… it became a job to me… I stopped LOVING everything about why I chose to start learning and developing this beautiful art.
I love you (my clients) and you are all probably wondering why I decided to write this cumbersome blog about myself! It's more about why I've restructured my pricing and why I am making a decision to specialize.  I want to continue photographing your families… but I've decided to specialize in portrait photography.  I will no longer be offering my services for weddings, birthday parties, or events.  I will be specializing in customized family, newborn, and child photography!  And my favorite of all time…. I will be adding Lifestyle photography to my specialization…. the every day look into your lives as a family!!

During my break and I was able to capture some fun amazing picture of my children!  The everyday look into my child's lives… lifestyle photography has become my very favorite style of photography.  I know they will be so happy when they grow older to be able to rock some awesome photos on social media to celebrate "National Siblings Day"… :)
Take a peek at my fun family below!

As always...I love the journey!

xoxo,
JK

Maygen & Nabarda | Engagement | Lehigh Valley, PA photographer

It was a bitter 20 degrees on a Saturday when we ventured out to photograph soon-to-be Mr. & Mrs. King!  What an amazing two hours we shared documenting their love.
I adore photographing newly engaged couples and seeing them so relaxed with one another as we move through their session.  The whispers, the giggles, the tender moments that make the session so real, so fun, and so natural.

Enjoy the photo sneak of this cute couple!
We are photographing their wedding as well... so you won't want to miss it so come "like" us at

Congratulations Maygen & Nabarda

Maria & David | Lehigh Valley Wedding

I have to say I do love photographing weddings as much as I love portrait photography.  Seeing the love of the bride and groom, the happiness of their friends and families as they say "I do", the appreciation and the celebration of one another as they become one… it's amazing to see and as a photographer
amazing to be a part of.
David and Maria are an amazing couple… the love they have for one another is evident.

We hope you enjoy this glimpse of their wedding day!
